For most people, buying a home is the single biggest investment they will ever make. For many, it may be the only time they ever visit a lawyer's office. We try to make every closing as easy as possible. Our office is conveniently located with its own parking.

In a typical real estate transaction the buyer's attorney will perform the following functions:

* Review the Purchase and Sale Contract
* Review the Warranty Deed from the seller's attorney
* Review the Vermont Property Transfer Tax Return
* Review the Vermont Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector Certificate
* Conduct a title search
* Issue title insurance
* Resolve any title problems
* Act as closing attorney for buyer's lender
* Record deed and other transfer documents
* Prepare power of attorney for buyers unable to attend closing
